Locally they have the Tweedsmuir reservoirs, St Mary's Loch and the Southern Upland Way. There are numerous bronze age sites, botanical gardens, Traquair House (Scotland's oldest inhabited house and ancient royal castle), numerous breweries, to name but a few of the local attractions.
There is exceptional sika and roe deer hunting with professional stalkers on the estate as well as fishing and falconry.
