Hearthstanes Estate

Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm within the picturesque Tweedsmuir Hills of the Scottish Borders. The Estate covers unspoilt open hills and forests along both sides of the upper reaches of the renowned River Tweed yet still within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

There are a wealth of things to do when staying at Hearthstanes. Opportunities for hours of biking and hiking on the open hills and through the forests. Locally they have the Tweedsmuir reservoirs, St Mary's Loch and the Southern Upland Way. There are numerous bronze age sites, botanical gardens, Traquair House (Scotland's oldest inhabited house and ancient royal castle), numerous breweries, to name but a few of the local attractions.

There is exceptional sika and roe deer hunting with professional stalkers on the estate as well as fishing and falconry.
