Newton Farm Holidays

An Escape to the Country

In the peaceful idyllic setting of Angus, Scotland, lies the traditional, working, family run farm that offers not just a well-deserved break but memories to last a life time.“We are very conscious of customer care and we want to give guests the best agritourism adventure imaginable” said owner Louise who runs the farm with her family.

The farm provides a treat for all five senses! Enjoy the peace and quiet with the odd tractor in the distance or cow across the field. Explore using the trails around the farm taking you on a journey through nature. See the famous, authentic Timmy Tractor dressed up just for you. Relax in the beautiful serene location or have a blast with your little ones on a tour of the farm that introduces you to the Nicoll’s cherished animals, often run by Louise’s twelve year old twins.

Many animals over the last year have found a home at Newton Farmhouse. There are three senior and two baby goats that love attention and four alpacas named after Disney characters, who are very protective over the sheep!” The farm is also home to some very curious runner ducks and Lucy the micro pig, who loves her home comforts!

Their animal farm has attracted lots of families and their contemporary newly refurbished country-themed rooms are ideal for that peaceful escape from city life. Stay in the farmhouse with the family for a personal and unique service, or try the three bed self-catering cottage; perfectly laid out so that you grown-ups can have some quiet time to yourselves.

Come and visit the extraordinary animals and get a look at Timmy the vintage tractor for yourself!

What makes us special

The Nicoll’s don’t just take care of their guests and their animals – they pride themselves on preserving the wildlife and supporting the local community. Green Tourism Business Scheme presented them with a gold award for their use of solar panels, minimum water wastage, recycling and other sustainable practices. Newton Farmhouse was among the first businesses to be granted the “Taste the Best” award by Visit Scotland for their use of fresh, local produce. Louise said: “buying locally is important to us, we use as much of our own produce as we can and source as locally as possible.”
