Drumlanrig Castle sits at the heart of a vibrant country estate in picturesque Dumfries and Galloway. The Castle offers a wealth of history from the original 'Braveheart' story to tales of Bonnie Prince Charlie's dastardly ways. The Castle is also home to part of the internationally renowned Buccleuch Art Collection including Rembrandt's Old Woman Reading.
Beyond the Castle walls sits a 90,000 acre Estate offering visitors the opportunity to explore the gardens, trek along our many pathways and then refuel at one of our tearooms.
If you are looking for a more adrenaline packed experience why not bring your mountain bike and try one of our trails or even hit the hills with our rangers on one of the Landrover Tours. For the younger explorers the Estate also boasts an adventure playground with aerial walkways and rope bridges galore.
First and foremost Drumlanrig Castle is a family home, offering visitors an opportunity to glimpse a snapshot in to the past and present of the Buccleuch family.
You can also visit the family's other Scottish home - Bowhill House near Selkirk.
On 18th & 19th August Drumlanrig Castle will play host to the Galloway Country Fair - a celebration of all things rural.
